Finally get to try this established restaurant on a special occasion.
We were quite surprised that the main course menu had rather limited options.
What we ordered:
Nettle Ravioli $27
Organic house made pasta with wild nettle & ricotta filling, garden beans, grilled carrot ribbon salad, Parmigiano & pine nut gremolata.
SK Lake Trout $28
Lightly brined & herb pressed wild caught SK trout, 'Our Farm' new potatoes & baby beets, chive blossom butter.
Feature Cut of Bison $35
'Ponderosa Ranch' bison with torched St. Agur, local zucchini & potato pave, grilled summer squash & red wine shallot demi glaze.
Potted Chicken Rillettes $17
'Cool Springs Ranch' chicken confit potted with garden herbs, served chilled with pan fried wild SK fiddlehead, morel & chevre strata.
Assorted Cakes
Overall, food presentation and service was excellent. However, food tasted mediocre, leaving us with no motivation to revisit due to the higher price point. Not withstanding that, we would still encourage you to drop by and try it yourself, perhaps as a reward for yourself or to celebrate special occasions.
