We went to this steakhouse unprepared and a little scruffy after a soccer match. Thankfully there is no dress code and the staffs welcomed us regardless.
Having no expectation whatsoever, the menu was quite impressive, with a good selection.
What we ordered:
MILE HIGH G&T $9.50 (Daily drinks special)
Aviation gin, Fever Tree light cucumber tonic, orange bitters, fresh shaved cucumber (1oz)
This was recommended by the waitress and it was much appreciated. It is a very refreshing drink.
WILD MUSHROOM & GOAT CHEESE DIP $19
truffle honey, garlic crostini
This was an excellent dish. The combination of flavor and texture is on point. They were generous with everything too: crostinis, mushrooms and goat cheese.
SMOKED RIB EYE 13oz $50
Seasoned with Old Chicago steak spice & seared in 1800°F Montague grill to create a perfect crust, served with fresh seasonal vegetables, plus your choice of a side.
Our steak was cooked medium rare as per request and served pretty much as per their description - perfect crust. Our choice of side - mashed potatoes was smooth and creamy but the sauce was charged separately. Seasonal vegetables were well seasoned and tasty.
Our server was friendly and attentive. We'll consider visiting this steakhouse again, but perhaps when we're better dressed for the ambience.
