Date: Dec 24, 2022
Spent: $50 per person (average)
The restaurant has a nice and quiet ambience, suitable for a date. We were seated at the booth but you have the table option as well.
As it was Christmas eve, we ordered more than what we would usually do. We went home really stuffed.
Anti-clockwise from the top:
Shrimp Saganaki $17
Baby Back Ribs $35
Steak Bites $21
Shrimp Saganaki: shrimp, mixed peppers, garlic, oregano, feta, ouzo, tomato sauce, sourdough. This dish came with a generous amount of sauce and 4 slices of sourdough. It was a very appetizing dish but there were only 5 small prawns.
Baby Back Ribs: greek inspired fire-grilled pork ribs, choice of side, seasonal vegetables. This was our main dish for the night. The pork ribs were excellent and the meat falls off the bone. We were not aware of the 'choice of side' at that time, the waitress did not inform nor asked us to choose. We were automatically served the fries. But we later found out when reviewing the menu again that the choice of side includes fresh cut fries, Filosophi salad, lemon chicken rice soup, garlic mashed or rice. This dish came with a small bowl of water with lemon for finger wash in case you choose to eat the ribs with your fingers. 😉
Steak Bites: blackened marinated sirloin pieces, peppers, scallions, dijon aioli. This sirloin pieces were well done but thankfully not tough to bite. They were well-seasoned and paired really well with the dijon aioli. There were 8 sizeable pieces and good for sharing.
Saskatoon Sling $12.
Gin, Blackfox sour cherry liquor, pineapple juice, fresh lime, bitters.
The menu has a wide selection of cocktails and we had a hard time deciding. We settled for Saskatoon Sling and it was citrus-y and easy to drink.
Front: Baklava Cheesecake $8.75
Back: Outrageous Coconut Brownie Cheesecake $8.75
Both cakes were extremely delicious. The Baklava Cheesecake was a unique combination of Baklava crust and cheesecake as fillings. This cheesecake is not for you if you do not have a sweet tooth 😝
The Outrageous Coconut Brownie Cheesecake comprised of two layers of chocolate brownie with some coconut flakes and a layer of cheesecake in between. This cake is also to die for.
The exterior of the restaurant at night. There are plenty of parking space just beside the restaurant.
