Another gem in Saskatoon! This restaurant gives the vibe of a family-run business.
We were surprised to find quite an extensive menu. They offer a variety of bread, rice, main course (meat and vegetarian options), drinks and desserts. The most eye catching category for us was the "Street Food Specials".
Masala Tea $2.99
This is a classic Indian hot beverage. We enjoyed the flavors and the sweetness was just nice for us.
Amritsar Kulcha, $12.99
The flatbread was generously stuffed with potatoes and spices. They were fluffy but very filling. The flatbread was cut into 4 slices and served with spicy chole (chickpeas), pickled red onions and raita (yogurt and spices).
The waiter did not ask which spicy level we prefer. We found the flatbread spicy and it had the smell of bird eye's chili. You may want to request for a milder spicy level if you think you can't handle it.
Chole Bhature, $10.99
Chole Bhature is Punjabi Cuisine dish combination of fried flatbreads and tangy chickpea curry.
The bhature was very fluffy. It is different from what we've had because there were spices on the dough. We loved it. Unfortunately, both the bread we ordered came with the same side dishes.
We were there for breakfast, at slightly past 11am but the restaurant was empty. Food tasted like they were prepared fresh upon order but still arrived within a reasonable time, around 20 minutes.
We left feeling stuffed and with a warm stomach, delighted with our food. Can't wait to revisit and try the other items on the menu.
