Alas, we checked out the latest hype in Saskatoon; Loqui.

We visited Loqui on a Saturday evening, Dec 20th as a pre-Christmas date night.

Reservation was simple, can be done through their website: https://www.loqui.ca/

Here's what we ordered:

Gua-Bao

Virgin Mimosa (Pineapple), $7

LaMarca - Prosecco - Italy, 5oz, $12

Gua-Bao, $15.50
Pork Belly.Ginger Glaze.Lemongrass. Fresh Coriander. Spicy Pepper. Japanese Mayo.

PFC

PFC, $34
Wild Saskatchewan Sage Fried Chicken. Beetroot Risotto. Buttered Heirloom Kale. Coleslaw Puree. Lime Gel.

Tiger Steak

Loqui Tiger Steak, $41
10oz Flank. Sobbing Tiger Sauce. Black Garlic. Bok Choy. Shiso.

Dessert

Dessert, not on the menu.

We were seated by the wall near the entrance. It was a small cafe-sized table for 2 and there were barely any space in between the tables. We were joined by a couple (seated to my left) shortly after our drinks arrived and then later, another couple came (seated to my right) just before we ordered dessert. We were seated so close to each other, we couldn't even chat comfortably with each other.

Aside from the lack of space, it was also pretty loud. The restaurant was only about 70% full but it was very noisy with patrons talking over each other.

👍🏻 Food presentation and taste are excellent.
👎🏻 Lack of space between tables and noise level.

Overall, I'd still say it is worth a try but we don't think we'll go back again anytime soon.
