Cuisine: Japanese
Date: Dec 4, 2022
Spent: $23 per person (average)
What we ordered:
Salmon OSHI $15
Six large pieces of sushi with torched salmon, topped with a thin slice of Jalapeño.
BC Roll $14.50
Crispy salmon skin, cucumber, avocado, crab meat with seared salmon, masago on top.
Beef Teriyaki Bento $16
This is not the conventional bento that we were expecting. Bento is typically served in a box but this one came looking like a donburi instead. The bento was loaded with many things other than beef teriyaki, which was supposed to be the star. There were few slices of beef teriyaki but a lot of pickled ginger and radish and edamame. The tempura prawn was a welcomed surprise in the bowl which tasted fresh and had a crunchy bite. There was also a small piece of cucumber maki, 2 slices of tamago and a seafood ball (? 😳). The bento came with a small bowl of miso soup (not in photo).
They serve green tea (which tasted like plain hot water) upon request. Staffs were friendly but not extremely attentive.
There are booth and table seatings to choose from.
To our surprise, when we left, they said Kamsahamnida instead of Arigato. 🤯
